- How is Bugbop different from other platforms?
- Unlike other platforms that charge recurring monthly fees or require lock-in contracts, Bugbop uses a simple wallet-based system. You can pause bounties at any time. You can close or make you program private without wasting expensive platform usage fees.
- Are there ongoing fees?
- No. You don't pay ongoing subscriptions whether you receive bug reports or not. Our 15% fee only applies when you pay out bounties, aligning our success with yours.
- Can I get a refund?
- Yes. If you decide Bugbop isn't right for you, we'll refund any unspent wallet balance. However, we have a fair use policy - if Bug Hunters have found in-scope bugs, they must be paid according to their severity before refunding.
- What happens when my balance runs out?
- Once your initial balance is used up, future bounty payments are simply charged to your card on file as you award bounties. You can set strict budgets to prevent going over your initial deposit or spend limit.
- Can I pay via invoice?
- Yes. If your finance team prefers a single invoice, we can issue one and credit the balance directly to your wallet.
- How do I limit how much I pay?
- You can set strict monthly/yearly/one-off budgets to ensure you never exceed your spending limits. Once a budget is reached, bounty payments are paused until you approve them.
- Is the initial deposit enough?
- Yes. The $575 deposit is designed to cover your first few entry-level bounties (typically $100-250 for critical issues). You can set your budget to automatically pause the program once this deposit is used, giving you full control.
